The checklist covers common beach needs without trying to predict every family. Print it, edit it, or open it in Everyone’s Packed to work on it together.

Everyday essentials

Keep important personal items together and confirm the items that are difficult to replace.

Identification and travel details

IDs, wallet, booking details, keys, and any required travel documents.

Health

Daily medication, prescriptions, basic first aid, glasses or contacts, and insurance information.

Devices

Phones, chargers, battery pack, watch chargers, headphones, and any camera equipment you will actually use.

Beach and sun

Adjust quantities for trip length, laundry access, and what your accommodation already provides.

Sun protection

Sunscreen, lip balm with SPF, hats, sunglasses, and lightweight cover-ups.

Swimming

Swimsuits, rash guards, sandals or water shoes, towels if not provided, and a wet bag.

Beach setup

Reusable water bottles, beach bag, shade if needed, chairs or blanket, and simple sand toys.

After the beach

Dry clothes, moisturizer, laundry bag, and a small brush or comb.

Clothes and evenings

Pack comfortable outfits, underwear, sleepwear, one warmer layer, rain protection if relevant, and shoes appropriate for your actual plans.
Choose a small mix that can repeat. A separate hypothetical outfit for every possibility usually stays in the suitcase.

Add only the travelers you have

Traveler sets should supplement the shared beach list.

Baby

Diapers, wipes, changing supplies, feeding supplies, sleep items, carrier or stroller, baby-safe sun protection, and familiar comfort items.

Toddler or child

Comfort item, child-safe water bottle, flotation equipment appropriate to your plans, simple entertainment, and a complete change of clothes close at hand.

Dog

Leash, waste bags, food, bowls, medication, towel, shade and water plan, tags, and any lodging or beach documentation.

Buy and do before leaving

Buy anything the household does not already have: sunscreen, medication refills, snacks, or beach supplies. Do the laundry, charge devices, download entertainment, confirm lodging details, and check what towels, chairs, or baby equipment are provided.

Departure-day final sweep

Check medication, wallets and IDs, phones and chargers, refrigerator items, trash, doors and windows, travel documents, child comfort items, pet supplies, and anything that was charging overnight.
Questions people ask

How far in advance should a family start packing?

Create the list when the trip is booked, handle purchases and laundry several days before departure, and reserve the final day for items still in use.

Should I use one beach template for every family?

Use one small beach foundation, then layer in the travelers, journey, lodging, and activities that apply. This is easier to edit than one enormous universal list.

Can I print this checklist?

Yes. Use your browser’s print command. In Everyone’s Packed, a trip can also become formatted text, a PDF, a system print job, or a dedicated browser print layout.

Make this beach list your own.
